ABA Spring Recital

Alameda Ballet Academy will be having a Spring Recital at the end of the semester on Sunday, May 30, 20 10 in Kofman Theater, Alameda. Students will rehearse their dances in class, with a dress rehearsal at the theater on Saturday, May 29 (times to be announced). Tickets for the recital are $10 each. The pre-sale starts this Thursday, April 29th! Order forms will be sent home with your dancers. I highly encourage you to buy your tickets now so you do not have to stand in line on show day.

Volunteer sign-up sheets are now posted in the studio lobby! We ask that every family donate time to help put on this production by signing up for a task. Our volunteers are essential to the success of our performances and keeping the performing arts alive for all of our children. We all know that many hands make light work, and successful performances can only take place with the support of many helpers!

The mandatory dress rehearsal is scheduled for (Saturday, May 29th) and performance (Sunday, May 30th). See the schedule below for details. Also, please check the casting list posted at the studio to make sure your child's name is spelled correctly.

Kofman Theater at 2200 Central Avenue. You must drop your dancer off at the stage door, which is off of Oak Street. Walk into the parking lot and keep going until you reach the Sign-In Table. Do not drive here as there is no space to park your car or turn around once you drive in. We recommend you park in the city garage next to the movie theater and walk over.

May 28 (Fri.)		Last day of ABA classes

May 29 (Sat.)	9am - 4:30pm	No classes today (Sat. - May 29) Mandatory Theater Dress Rehearsal Check In at Kofman Stage Door 15 minutes early (see times below). Recommend parking in theater parking lot (do not drive or park near theater door). Students should wear leotard & tights under street clothes & bring ballet shoes. No toys or jewelry allowed. Healthy snacks will be provided.

Notes:
Dancers will be released to parents/guardians at the stage door in costume and their street clothes will be in the bag that the costume came in.
Studio shots of all dancers will be taken backstage by Rapt Productions during the performance. Photos and DVDs will be available for purchase at www.dancedvdstore.com a few weeks after the show.
