Lessons for each week will follow the theme of a famous classical ballet as listed below:

Little Ballerina Camp
(ages 4 - 5)
No experience necessary.
Students are exposed to the basic positions, rhythms, coordination and concepts of ballet in a fun, creative and focused learning environment. Students also enjoy dance-related activities and learn about the art of ballet by watching videos of inspiring dancers, listening to stories or drawing.

Beginning/Beg. Intermediate Ballet
(ages 6 - 10)
No experience needed.
Students are exposed to the fundamentals of ballet, including how dancers dress and wear their hair for class as well as the importance of healthy nutrition. In order to achieve the beautiful posture of a dancer, students learn the concepts of stretching, abdominal control and coordination. They also learn the basic exercises that comprise a ballet barre and center floor work. Musicality, expressiveness, grace, focus and self-discipline are encouraged at all times. Students who stay for the full day participate in dance-related activities including other forms of dance, drama, music and how these are related to the art of being a dancer.

Intermediate/Advanced Summer Intensive
(ages 8 years and up)
Must have at least 3 years ballet
experience. Both weeks are strongly encouraged.

This is a more demanding camp for students who have learned all the components of a ballet class and have the desire and dedication to strengthen their technique and refine their artistry at an intermediate or advanced level. Students on Pointe will have a daily Pointe class and also study pas de deux. Other forms of dance, anatomy, nutrition, and dance history will be included during the week.
